The happiest place on earth never really gets old. Well maybe if you’re not a Disney fan it does, but if you’re like us Disney was our entire childhood and therefore it never really gets old. Therefore when the opportunity arose that I would be able to go back and take a trip to Disneyland for a friend’s 30th, I jumped at the chance. Although last minute, with the work we do and how we are able to earn money online meant I was able to go and the drop of a hat. So I booked my Eurostar and hotel, and off I went.

One thing that I would advise if you’re using the Eurostar, make the most of the zero liquid restrictions. You’re not limited like you are in the airport and so you may as well take full advantage – whether thats just taking plenty of water or plenty of Prosecco if you’re celebrating like we were.

We opted to stay just outside of the park instead of in the resort itself to help cut costs a bit, with the last minute nature of the trip staying in the resort just didn’t make sense. We still got a great deal though, the hotel we ended up in was just as good just missed the Disney themed decor.

Despite the slightly less than appealing weather, we were not going to let that affect out trip to Disneyland. It did mean unfortunately that we weren’t able to see any of the characters (they stayed inside – probably so they didn’t drench their costumes). We did however make our way through almost all the rides; tower of terror, teacups, rock and rollercoaster, dumbo, hyperspace mountain.

Just like any trip to Disneyland, it was magical and thoroughly enjoyable – and I would 100% recommend going if you ever get the chance. It’s as enjoyable at 25 as it was at 7!
